Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Brandini (the “App”) collects, uses, and shares information when merchants install and use the App at app.brandini.io, and when you visit our website at www.brandini.io.
Information we collect
- Shopify account and store data. When you install the App, Shopify provides information about your store and account such as your shop domain, store name, plan details, language settings, and certain account user details (for example, user ID, name, email, and locale) through Shopify sessions.
- Store content. The App accesses store content needed to generate and manage outputs, such as product titles, descriptions, variants, images, collections, pages, and blog articles.
- Inputs and outputs. We collect the text and settings you submit (for example, topics, keywords, and copy to rewrite) and store the resulting outputs (for example, your brand voice, Post drafts, images, summaries, tags, and rewritten text).
- Post performance data. For Posts the App publishes, we read aggregate traffic figures (such as sessions per Post) from your Shopify store analytics to show how your Posts perform. These are totals, not data about individual visitors.
- Product usage and diagnostics. When you use the App, we record how it is used (for example, pages viewed, buttons clicked, and features used), session recordings of App screens, and error reports. These are linked to your shop domain. See “Analytics and cookies” below.
- Email engagement. When we email you, our email provider tells us whether the message was delivered, opened, clicked, or bounced.
- Website visitors. If you accept analytics cookies on www.brandini.io, Google Analytics collects usage data such as pages visited, device and browser details, and approximate location.
- Affiliate applications. If you apply to our affiliate program, we collect the details you submit: name, email, company, website, and how you plan to promote Brandini.
- Billing and usage data. We store plan identifiers, subscription IDs, trial status, and usage counters to enforce plan limits. Payments are processed by Shopify; we do not store payment card details.
- Operational logs. We log events such as requests, errors, and job status with timestamps and shop domain to operate and secure the service.
How we use information
- Provide, operate, and improve App features.
- Learn your brand voice and generate Posts, images, and copy rewrites.
- Research keywords and track how your Posts rank in search results.
- Sync drafts and media to your Shopify store when requested.
- Send you emails about your account and Posts, such as weekly summaries, plan usage notices, and review requests. You can turn off the weekly summary in the App's settings.
- Understand how the App and our website are used so we can improve them.
- Handle billing, plan changes, and usage limits.
- Monitor reliability, prevent abuse, and debug issues.
- Comply with Shopify and legal requirements.
AI processing
The App uses third-party AI services to generate content. This means we send certain store content and your inputs to our AI provider (currently OpenAI) for processing. The provider returns generated output, which we store in your account for you to review and use. The provider's use of data is governed by its own terms.
We use OpenAI to write and edit text, to generate and edit images (including product images you choose to use in image features), and to compare new content with your existing Posts so the App does not repeat itself. When researching a topic, the AI model may run web searches based on the topic and keywords.
Keyword and search ranking data
To suggest keywords and track rankings, we send keywords, topics, your store domain, and your target location and language to DataForSEO, which returns search volume, competition, and ranking data.
Emails
We send email through Resend. To do this, Resend receives your email address, your store name, and the content of the message. Resend reports delivery, open, click, and bounce events back to us, which we store with your shop domain.
Analytics and cookies
In the App
We use PostHog for product analytics. When you use the App, PostHog records usage events, session recordings of App screens, and error reports, identified by your shop domain. Our servers also send PostHog events about actions in your account (for example, when a Post is generated). PostHog may use cookies or similar browser storage to recognize your session.
On www.brandini.io
Our website uses Google Analytics only if you agree. Until you click Accept in the cookie banner, Google Analytics does not load and sets no cookies. If you accept, it sets _ga cookies to measure site usage. Advertising storage and ad personalization stay turned off. We store your choice in your browser's local storage.
You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the website footer. If you decline, we remove the Google Analytics cookies.

How we share information

Data retention and deletion
We retain data for as long as your store uses the App and as needed to provide the service. When you uninstall the App, we remove access tokens to disable access. Shopify may also send a shop/redact request (typically 48 hours after uninstall), and we delete store data in response. If you need deletion or export of data, contact us using the information below.
Customer data requests
The App does not store customer personal data. If Shopify sends a customer data request or redact request, we respond according to Shopify's requirements.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. No system is 100 percent secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
