Privacy Policy
Effective date: January 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Brandini (the "App") collects, uses, and shares information when merchants install and use the App at app.brandini.io.
Information we collect
- Shopify account and store data. When you install the App, Shopify provides information about your store and account such as your shop domain, store name, plan details, language settings, and certain account user details (for example, user ID, name, email, and locale) through Shopify sessions.
- Store content. The App accesses store content needed to generate and manage outputs, such as product titles, descriptions, variants, images, collections, pages, and blog articles.
- Inputs and outputs. We collect the text and settings you submit (for example, topics, keywords, and copy to rewrite) and store the resulting outputs (for example, brand voice profiles, blog drafts, summaries, tags, and rewritten text).
- Billing and usage data. We store plan identifiers, subscription IDs, trial status, and usage counters to enforce plan limits. Payments are processed by Shopify; we do not store payment card details.
- Operational logs. We log events such as requests, errors, and job status with timestamps and shop domain to operate and secure the service.
How we use information
- Provide, operate, and improve App features.
- Generate brand voice profiles, copy rewrites, and blog drafts.
- Sync drafts and media to your Shopify store when requested.
- Handle billing, plan changes, and usage limits.
- Monitor reliability, prevent abuse, and debug issues.
- Comply with Shopify and legal requirements.
AI processing
The App uses third-party AI services to generate content. This means we send certain store content and your inputs to our AI provider (currently OpenAI) for processing. The provider returns generated output, which we store in your account for you to review and use. The provider's use of data is governed by its own terms.
Image search and media
If you search for images in the App, we send your search terms to Unsplash and show results returned by Unsplash. When you select a photo, we may trigger Unsplash download tracking and upload the image to your Shopify Files to set it as a blog thumbnail.
How we share information
- Shopify. We use Shopify APIs for authentication, billing, and to read or write store content when you request it.
- Service providers. We use providers for hosting, storage, queues, logging, and analytics (for example, AWS).
- AI providers. We share inputs and store content with AI providers to generate outputs.
- Unsplash. We share search terms and download tracking requests when you use the Unsplash feature.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the App, our users, or others.
Data retention and deletion
We retain data for as long as your store uses the App and as needed to provide the service. When you uninstall the App, we remove access tokens to disable access. Shopify may also send a shop/redact request (typically 48 hours after uninstall), and we delete store data in response. If you need deletion or export of data, contact us using the information below.
Customer data requests
The App does not store customer personal data. If Shopify sends a customer data request or redact request, we respond according to Shopify's requirements.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. No system is 100 percent secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and post the revised policy.
